Wanna One- Energetic

WANNA ONE FINALLY DEBUTED!!🎉🎉 I'm so psyched about this!! I saw the teaser and am soo excited. This music video did not disappoint! 😃 The song itself was upbeat, flowed nicely, and was kind of what was expected of Wanna One to come out with. I love the piano in the beginning with the gradual build. Jaehwan's vocals were ON POINT. One problem I did have though was the line distribution. Jaehwan got a lot of the parts, which is understandable since he's the main vocal, and his vocals SLAY, but Daehwi, Guanlin, Jisung, and Jihoon really missed out on the lines which makes me kind of sad, since Jihoon is one of my favs. 😔 (I can't decide between him and Ong 😆). For the video itself, I was really happy with it. It was fun and bright, while not being too cutesy. I have to say that I love the parts of the video with the shopping cart, especially at 1:40 with Ong Seongwoo 😂(OMG I LOVE ONG SOOO MUCH). All of the scenes with shopping cart were really entertaining and f...

EXO- Ko Ko Bop

I'm really mixed about this song, because there are some parts I really like, and some I just can't stand. Mainly it's that horrible screeching sound in the background that you first hear at 0:39, plays again at 1:43, plays in the dance breaks, and plays in the final chorus. It's just so shrill and loud that it's the only thing I can focus on when it appears and it really hurts my ears. If they just took out that screeching sound, I would adore this song. It totally has a sort of reggae feeling, and it is just so chill and groovy. All the parts, except the dance breaks, really blend well, musically and gives that really calm, kind of high, feeling. I love the video. It totally gives you the totally loopy (high), aesthetic, which was really fun. I love most of the sets, except for the street set? (where they show the dancing), and the bright colors used. I also adored the fun little pieces of the cgi, like the cloud over Xiumin's cup, and Kai on the cloud. And ...

Red Velvet- Red Flavor

I was really excited to see Red Velvet come out with a new song, especially since they are one of my favorite girl groups (one less since Sistar disbanded 😢). I was a little scared though since I didn't really like Rookie that much, and I was hoping they won't continue on where they were going with Rookie. Thankfully, I like the song a lot more than Rookie I really enjoyed the song and video, and it had the bright, fun feeling typical of Red Velvet. The song really highlighted the girls voices with the minimal background music. Throughout the song, there were a lot of parts where there was only a rhythm section in the background, which really had the vocals stand out. I really love how that was done in the song, since Red Velvet has really solid vocals and are great with harmonies and blending. I really enjoyed the song and the vocals were really good, despite it being a very fun pop song. However, I didn't really like the ending. I love Wendy, she's my bias member a...

LOOΠΔ's JinSoul- Singing in the Rain

I totally was psyched for this song to come out, especially since JinSoul rapped for ViVi's song in the second video made for it. So, I totally believed that she would be rapping throughout the video, but she didn't.... She only rapped for one section from 1:27 to 1:40, so yeah I'm a little disappointed, but hey she did rap! I do love the first part of the LOOΠΔ-verse, but I have to say that I prefer the more recent part with Kim Lip and JinSoul. In my personal opinion, I prefer girl groups to be more on the edgy side?, I think you could consider it. Sort of like the Brown Eyed Girls. Either way, I love this part of the LOOΠΔ-verse and I loved JinSoul's song The mix of rap and singing was sooo refreshing from LOOΠΔ, and I absolutely appreciate it. I have been waiting for rapping from this group wince YeoJin came out. I love the style of music that this part of LOOΠΔ-verse comes out with, and this song is no exception. I'm not very fond of the intro, but the first ...

Produce 101- Wanna One

I've been insanely invested in this season of Produce 101, mainly because one of my favorite groups Nu'est are in it, which really upsets me. When I heard that they would be joining this trainee survival show I was so upset that this could happen to them, and I'm still pretty salty about it. I've been watching the show and performances and overall my preferred line up was: 1. Park Jihoon 2. Hwang Minhyun 3. Kim Jonghyun 4. Choi Minki 5. Kang Dongho 6. Ong Sungwoo 7. Kim Samuel 8. Ha Sungwoon 9. Ahn Hyungseop 10. Jung Sewoon 11. Park WooJin This is just my opinion and what I hope for, but I honestly would be happy with any of the boys debuting, since I adore them all and wish the best for them all. All of the boys have worked so hard and are so charismatic. They all really deserve it and it was an emotional rollercoaster watching them develop throughout the show. I was watching the live stream for the finale today and it was so intense!! It was insanely e...

Astro- Baby

For those who might know, Astro is a somewhat new group under Fantagio that debuted in 2016. I have been fans of theirs since I watched To Be Continued, which is available on Netflix. 😉 (Check it out!) Sanha has to be my bias 💛, but Moon Bin is such a bias wrecker. 😖 I LOVE this song! It continues their fresh, sweet, and fun concept that they have kept since debut. However, this is less cutesy and right up my alley. It's smooth but still bright, which is absolutely perfect. It has that certain funk to it that is irresistible and insanely catchy. The reoccurring beat is sooo catchy and is great. The electric guitar at 2:43 is EPIC!! I'd have to say though that the ending has to be my favorite part. That beautiful harmony hits the spot, and is perfection. But, Sanha singing the 2nd chorus was really great as well (I really love his voice 💛) One thing I love about this video is how it's filmed in first person so it feels as if you are truly experiencing what's happ...

LOOΠΔ's Kim Lip- Eclipse

So, LOOΠΔ released May's girl, Kim Lip. When I heard that she was had a different concept than the other girls, where it would be more sexy rather than cute, I was ecstatic. I thought that she would be a rapper, which LOOΠΔ doesn't have a lot of, but she turned out to be another vocal. Yeah, I've been anticipating a rapper since Yeojin was announced, but none haven't been released :(. (I'm not including Jinsoul since she hasn't released a song yet.) Even though I'm disappointed that Kim Lip isn't a rapper, I am not disappointed by her song. At first I wasn't too sure if I'd like it or not with the opening and the first the verse, but as soon as the chorus hit, I was hooked. I love her voice is deeper than the other girls, which I think overall would a lot to LOOΠΔ when they debut as OT12. Vocal wise, I would have to say I like Kim-Lip the best. I also love how the song itself picks up well, and there are no really anti-climatic parts. Normally ...

BAP- Wake Me Up

BAP is back! I'm so excited, since the song and video are both really great and interesting. I'm really Anyone can tell that the video is deep af. The video clearly issues various mental illnesses, and I really appreciate the fact that BAP actually addresses these really important issues. The largest issue displayed in this video was definitely depression and suicide. The lyrics also talks about the pain of living with these issues, especially in this society. Together the video and lyrics really fitted well with each other, and I am so impressed with this. The lyrics in the bridge shows hope in this situation, and what I love that the video perfectly corresponds with this and it shows the people that were having such a hard time before become somewhat okay. Though I love the direction that this video goes, I really would have loved to see the choreography for this song, since I bet it's insanely good, like the song. The song is also really great with a simple backgroun...

BTOB- Movie

I love the concept of the music video, with each of the boys being in a different movie and then having them all watch the movies together. The movie references were soo fun and I looked forward to which movies they will reference next. The boys also were able to add to the enjoyment by showing their "reactions to the movies" and the behind the scenes of the movies. And that last part right before they showed the logo, Ilhoon not knowing whether or not to bow was cute and fun. (Changsub's face right before the first chorus, though) The very last part at the end of the video where it shows Ilhoon doing something on the turn table, and then showing an explosion in Sungjae's scene, added suspense on whether or not the deactivation of the bomb actually worked, and whether it was caused by Ilhoon, which was clever. I was really excited for BTOB to release something more funky, since they have been leaning towards ballads more recently, and this type of music is refreshin...

SHINee- Get the Treasure

SHINee's BACK!!!! They released a Japanese video called Get the Treasure, which I love!! The theme was great, the song was great, the video was great, and the dance was great. What more can I ask for. I was not expecting a song to come out, so I was surprised and excited when this song appeared on my subscriptions. The video itself is really interesting. I love the heist theme going on with the still framed background with SHINee moving around in. Each scene had a ton of interesting stuff happening, and the camera work was great as well. When Minho flicked the poker chip at the camera and there was a "crack" on the camera, I was really impressed. I also was surprised when Taemin shot the chandelier and it shattered and it had like a still frame where they danced in, SOOO COOOL. A similar situation occurred when Taemin threw money in the air and it froze. And these were just a few of the reall cool stuff happening. The whole still frame stuff was just so cool and interes...

LOOΠΔ

For those of you who may not know, LOOΠΔ is a girl group made by Blockberry Entertainment that was released in October 2016. Unlike many other kpop groups around, LOOΠΔ releases one new member every month, which I find incredibly interesting. In October, they released HeeJin, November, HyunJin, December, HaSeul, and recently, January, YeoJin. I was first introduced to this group by a friend of mine in December, in which she reeled me in to the fandom by showing me HyunJin's 'Around You'. She then showed me HaSeul's 'Let Me In', and then LOOΠΔ's 'The Carol'. Ever since then, I've been checking out their music videos, dance practice videos, vlogs, etc., and basically became a fan. I love that the company has put so much effort into this group, and releases quality content every month. So far LOOΠΔ has come out with 7 track songs in 4 months, which is amazing 1. ViViD HeeJin Probably my favorite LOOΠΔ song to date. I love HeeJin's vocal ...

Dreamcatcher- Chase Me

I was really surprised by how much I enjoyed this song and video. I decided to watch it after it repeatedly appeared on my suggestions, and I was really happy with it. I don't know the group that well and I believe that they are a new girl group, and that Chase Me is their debut song. If it is, then that was an amazing way to debut. The video itself was entertaining and intriguing. I love the concept of the girls haunting the main guy, in the hotel and him trying to find out why. The saturation in the video I didn't enjoy as much, but it did add to the whole supernatural theme going on. The cliffhanger at the end with the "to be continued" helped add to the intrigue and made me happy with the possible continuation of the story. it also made me look forward to their next song in the future. The dance was probably one of the better dances that I've seen for girl groups. It contained many fast, bold and exact movements that you would tend to see in boy bands r...

Miraculous Ladybug

Way back in 2015, I wrote a post about this cartoon, which you can see here . It's been a year, but I finally finished it!!😁 I absolutely love it! It's so cute and adorable! I totally recommend it! The entire time was smiling about how cute Marinette and Adrien are together and how cute they would be as a couple. Overall, it's a really fun superhero series. I enjoyed it sooo much that I watched the Christmas special, which was hilarious, especially with the musical numbers. At the end of the show, like everyone else, I began to speculate about the other Miraculouses (Is that how you spell the plural form?) I'm gonna straight up say who I think is who. Obviously, Adrien is Chat Noir, Marinette is Ladybug, and Master Fu is the turtle. I honestly am almost positive that Adrien's father is Hawkmoth. I also think that his mother has the peacock miraculous or at least had it, since I think that Adrien's dad might have the Miraculous in the safe, because we saw it w...

Seventeen- Highlight

The choreography video for this song came out yesterday, and I LOVE IT!! I adore that the performance team is able to really shine with this song. I know that many fans have been worried and upset over the lack of lines that the performance team gets, but this song really lets these get the recognition that they deserve. Personally, the performance team is my favorite, and I am very excited about this video. First of all, I adore the suits!! <3 I know that seventeen also used suits and dress wear with NO F.U.N. (which is probably my favorite Seventeen song EVER!!), and I love that they decided to use dress wear again. All the boys look AMAZING!!! I love pinstripes suits in general, so I love The8's pinstripe suit the most. I also love Jun's hair, the blue is GREAT!! And of course my bias Hoshi looked perfect <3 and Dino looked amazing :). As expected, the dancing was phenomenal. It provided the energy that Seventeen tends to use in their dancing, which is my favorite ...
