Produce X 101- Second Elimination

Ok, episode 8, another elimination, but it was also mixed with the first part of the Concept Evaluation, which I will put in the Concept Evaluation post that combines all the Concept Evaluation parts. It was a nice distraction from the eliminations until they showed everyone crying having their last lessons, which honestly broke my heart because I don't want anyone to go home. For the entrances, my favorite was definitely Peak's. Other honorable mentions are Cho Seung Youn, Jeon Jae Han's and Woo Je Won's, and Park Sun Ho's.

I was honestly a bit surprised by the rankings there were a some people that rose drastically like Lee Hyeop and some that dropped like Kim Min Kyu. I'm honestly so happy for those that rose up the ranks because they really deserve it, but it was really sad seeing some people's rank drop. The top 11 for this episode were:

5. Koo Jung Mo
6. Lee Eun Sang

I was shocked by how much turnover there was from Episode 5. I was really surprised to see how much Lee Jin Hyuk rose. It was kinda funny to see TOP Media's Kim Woo Seok and Lee Jin Hyuk compete for first place. Honestly, the top 11 seemed pretty well rounded and wouldn't be terribly upset if that was the lineup. However, my top 11 are

2. Park Sun Ho
3. Lee Hangyul
4. Han Seung Woo
5. Kim Kook Heon
6. Baek Jin
7. Kim Yo Han
8. Kim Si Hun
9. Song Yu Vin

The twist added in the end was surprising. I was honestly really happy that the eliminated trainees had another chance to stay on the show. I really wanted a lot of the guys to come back, because a lot of really talented guys were eliminated. I was really surprised to see Baek Jin, Kim Dong Bin, and Mi Dam eliminated because they seemed quite popular and are clearly talented. I was also surprised to see Won Hyuk did not make it either because he received 2 benefits by getting first place for the Rap Position. I really liked the clips that was shown for the trainee's videos because it was clear that they all really improved and are very talented.

It was really sad to see 30 trainees eliminated. I truly hope that all 101 trainees find success. I don't know what to expect from the next elimination, but I am looking forward to it. I am also super excited to see who comes back after the X Consolation. So... Um... Yeah...

Produce X 101- Final Ranking

So, I was actually able to watch the entire finale. I'm still going to hold off on writing anything about the actual show portion of this episode until english subtitles are released. That being said the group name is X1. It's sweet and simple and basically sums up the premise of this season. Now onto the rankings. My current top 11 are: 1. Cho Seung Youn 2. Lee Han Gyul 3. Produce X 101- Position Evaluation

I love position evaluation. I think it gives the rappers a chance to really shine when they usually have to showcase singing or dancing. It also gives us epic performances such as Shape of You and "Michoji" from Season 2. Either way it allows people to really showcase their talents. The introduction of the X position definitely added interest. I think it is definitely very important for the trainees to be able to both sing and dance at the same time or rap and dance at the same time, since that is what they are going to be doing as an idol. Vocal Position Twit by Hwasa I love how this song was not like the typical ballad type songs to showcase their singing. Their harmonies were amazing and I loved it. Lee Hyeop did really well and I think it was great that he was finally able to showcase his singing ability. Jeonghwa also really stood out with his strong voice and cool stage presence. Lucy- Panorama

So fucking psyched about this album! I listened to the all the teasers and all of them sounded amazing. Based off of the mini-album highlight medley, I was most looking forward to Straight Line with Flare being second. Honestly though, just from the teasers alone I knew that this mini-album was gonna be right up my alley.  Just a quick heads up I had half of this post written on August 13th, which was a lot closer to when the mini-album came out than now. Not gonna lie, I don't regret putting it off. I still am in love with this album, and Lucy is still releasing content regarding this mini-album on their Youtube channel. I know they released lyric videos for all of these songs, which include the Korean lyrics and the English translations. They also released a commentary on the album with English subs which is just so interesting. They showed the production process as well as the meanings behind each song and the album as a whole.
