Produce X 101- Position Evaluation

I love position evaluation. I think it gives the rappers a chance to really shine when they usually have to showcase singing or dancing. It also gives us epic performances such as Shape of You and "Michoji" from Season 2. Either way it allows people to really showcase their talents. The introduction of the X position definitely added interest. I think it is definitely very important for the trainees to be able to both sing and dance at the same time or rap and dance at the same time, since that is what they are going to be doing as an idol.

Vocal Position

Twit by Hwasa
I love how this song was not like the typical ballad type songs to showcase their singing. Their harmonies were amazing and I loved it. Lee Hyeop did really well and I think it was great that he was finally able to showcase his singing ability. Jeonghwa also really stood out with his strong voice and cool stage presence. The performance overall was very captivating and I was really impressed and liked it a lot.

Me After You by Paul Kim
Seungwoo was someone that I thought would do X position for dancing and singing. In this group, he was definitely the most qualified and deserves the leader and center position. I also kind of wished Yohan chose to do the rap position because I wanted to see him rap a bit more, but I do appreciate him really trying a lot of different positions and becoming a well rounded idol. I really loved seeing Cha Jun Ho's and Kim Yo Han's friendship. It was also really nice to see Jun Ho really improve in the end. For the performance, it was a typical ballad. One thing I really appreciated was that everyone really stood out and was able to display their singing abilities. The silence after the Seungwoo's and Hyunbin's harmony was super impactful. That part and following part with everyone standing were definitely my favorite parts.

Day By Day by Wanna One
It was really cute how excited Song Yu Vin and Choi Su Hwan was to get teammates, especially towards Nam Dong Hyun. It was also really funny with Song Yu Vin trying to learn how to sing sexily. I was a bit surprised to see Nam Dong Hyun screen time, since he really did not get a lot before. I really liked the performance. Like Twit, it wasn't your typical ballad, which I appreciate. I think Song Yu Vin and Nam Dong Hyun really shined in the performance. I was really surprised that Kwon Tae Eun got second in the ranking, but good for him.

To My Youth by Bbol4
I was surpirsed to see Woo Seok in this group. I thought he would definitely be someone to do X position for dancing and singing. I also was sort of confused with Lee Jin Woo being in this team, since he seems uncomfortable with singing. For the performance, it was a typical ballad. I think that Woo Seok really stood out in this song and his voice really fit the song. I was also really impressed with Byungchan and Minkyu. For Byungchan, I never really knew that he was good at singing so it took me by surprise. For Minkyu, you could tell he really improved and it was nice to see that. I really enjoyed Lee Jin Woo's little speech thing after the performance. It was really fun and lighthearted, which lifted the mood. I loved his shout out to Lee Jin Hyuk and their friendship is really nice.

Rap Position

Tell Me, Yes or No by Zico
YASS MY BOIIII SEUNGYOUN AS THE LEADER !!! I honestly thought he was going to go for X position in rap and dance because he is totally capable, but you know what I'm just happy to see him showcase his rapping ability since in the last he challenge he was able to showcase singing and dancing. I'm really proud of Jeong Jae Hun and Kim Sungyeon for stepping up to the plate and really delivering their raps. Jeonghan's rap was also a lot of fun and it was really funny with his little performance. My boi Seung Youn's rap was great with the combination of rap and singing was great and damn he was sexy during that one part. Overall, I'm really proud of all of them.

Barcode by HAON and Vinxen
I was surprised to see Baek Jin in this group because I thought he was going to go for dance but it's great that he is able to show more of his talents. Personally, it was really uncomfortable to see Won Hyuk and Yuri argue over center. Overall, the team dynamic was pretty uncomfortable, but Baek Jin really tried to bring them together as the leader and in the end they were a lot better as a team. When they started forgetting their lyrics, I freaked out. Like, damn that was hard to watch. One thing I really liked during the performance was "It's Baek Jin time", I was so psyched hearing that. I really think Won Hyuk really stood out in the performance. He was the only one that didn't forget any of his lines and was able to really stay in composed and really perform in the performance.

Dance Position

YASSS MY BOI HANGYUL GETTING CENTER AND FIRST PLACE!! I'm also super proud of Si Hoon for being the leader and he really did a great job  bringing everyone together and choreographing. Their teamwork was really great and I love their team dynamic. I also am super pumped that Hangyul finally got some screentime. For the performance, it was really fun. Hangyul, Si Hoon and Hyeong Jun really shown. That flip Hangyul did was fucking great, Si Hoon's hip thrusts were sexy as hell, and Hyeong Jun's claw thing was really cute.

Swalla by Jason Derulo
Hyeon Su and Yun Sol really stood out in preparations for the performance when they were doing the dance off with the other dance groups. It really seemed like the team had a hard time preparing because a lot of them were not as talented at dancing as Yun Sol and Hyeon Su is. For the actual performance, I think they did well. I really liked the throne that they ended with and the finger crown was really cute. Hyeon Su's and Yun Sol's friendship was also really sweet to watch and at the end with the rankings announced and they were both crying was so sweet.

Believer by Imagine Dragons
YASSS MY BOI PARK SUNHO!!! Hwang Yun Seong and Keum Dong Hyun's friendship is really cute and the nickname Golden Chemistry is so cute. Honestly, I really like all of the trainees in this group, so I was really excited to see what they came up with. I was really impressed with their performance. I think out of the dance groups, this group did the best. I really liked the part where Dong Pyo was lifted up and that little section was pretty epic. I think Kook Heon really stood out in this performance, so I was pretty shocked when he got 4th in the rankings. Honestly, all of the members did amazing and it was a great performance.

X position

Attention by Charlie Puth (Singing and Dancing)
I'm really happy that Hong Seongjun chose to do this X position because he definitely is able to do both. Also, out of all the other trainees from Brand New Music he really hasn't been able to showcase himself as much and probably been getting the least amount of attention. I was surprised Sunghyun decided to join the singing and dancing X position, as a rapper, I thought he was going to rapping and dancing if he was going to be doing the X position. It seemed like they had a really hard time making this performance, but it think it was pretty good in the end. there were a few bits that weren't really in sync, but what honestly for all the stuff they had to worry about I don't really blame them. One part I really loved was the end though, when Mahiro snapped with the snapping in the song and the fell in increments. I think Mahiro really did a good job as center, so like good for him. I was really shocked with the rankings, but damn good for you Koo Jung Mo

Turtle Ship by Ja Mezz, Andup, and Mino (Rapping and Dancing)
Ok, why the fuck did Lee Eugene choose this? Not to be hating on him, but Lee Eugene really isn't that good at singing or dancing. Then he goes and chooses rap and dance?! What mindset is he in? I felt really bad for Lee Jin Hyuk because no one else in his group was really a rapper except Peak. I really was in the same mindset as Jin Hyuk with "Why did any of these guys choose this?" Watching these guys prepare was a struggle. Jin Hyuk had to literally teach them rapping from scratch, but they also had to learn a dance routine. Oof, it must have been really rough for him. I was really impressed with what these guys came out with at their performance. In the end, everyone was really able to deliver. I just wished the group consisted of people that were the best at rapping and dancing because that performance would have been epic. During the rankings, I was surprised see Lee Won Jun as the leader because Jin Hyuk really seemed to be leading everyone.

The winner for the Dance Position was Kim Hyeon Su, which was kind of surprising, but he deserved it, so good for him. It was also kind of shocking to see that the difference between first and second place was only 4 votes. For the Rap Position, the winner was Won Hyuk, which was also quite surprising, especially since the Barcode group as a whole really messed up. Good for him, though, because he really needed that boost being in 57th place out of 60. The winner for the vocal position was Woo Seok, which wasn't a surprise for me because he has a really high rank. I also wasn't surprised with Lee Jin Hyuk winning the X position, but that is insane getting the 200 times benefit and the 200,000 vote benefit.

Overall, these performances were nice to watch. My favorite performance would have to be Believer. I honestly think all the members really shined. They were clearly all really good at dancing, which makes sense for being the dance team. I really didn't understand some trainees choosing a position that they were not comfortable with. Instead of showcasing what they are good at, they are trying something new, which is very risky in these survival shows. So... Um... Yeah...

Sailor Moon- Jadeite

After a watching a video on Sailor Moon that was constantly on my recommended on YouTube, I was reminded with how much I loved this show. This, of course, led me to rewatch the entire show because wasting hours of my life for no reason is my favorite past time. I also found that I seriously lacked anime content so that led me to want to write about it. I was trying to figure out how writing this would work because there are a lot of episodes which means I'm not going to review Sailor Moon as a whole because I would forget the beginning by the time I got to the end. I also would not review every single episode because again there are a lot and since it's a superhero show there are a lot of "throw away" episodes. (This also lead me to want to create an "essential viewing" list, which would include only episodes that I think is important in regards to plot or character development.) The arcs themselves are quite large and are split into even smaller parts with ...

NCT Dream- Chewing Gum

Ok, so, another sub group of NCT, NCT Dream, came out Chewing Gum. This might be favorite single that NCT came out with. It's so bright, fun, and cute. Every time I see the video I break out into a smile. The story is pretty lighthearted, and it's very entertaining to watch. I absolutely love the bright colors that they use throughout the video. It really adds to the group's cute and bright theme. I found the video quite interesting to watch. They had a variety of different sets, including the ones made by the computer, and all of them were of bright colors. I also enjoyed the electronic made backgrounds for when the members had the closeups. Each person had a different animated background, so it was interesting to see what was behind them. I also kind of funny that they were using those hoverboard-thingies. (I have no idea what they're called, but I think it's a hoverboard?) The song is quite catchy, and I could probably listen to it over and over again for hou...

Astro- Baby

For those who might know, Astro is a somewhat new group under Fantagio that debuted in 2016. I have been fans of theirs since I watched To Be Continued, which is available on Netflix. 😉 (Check it out!) Sanha has to be my bias 💛, but Moon Bin is such a bias wrecker. 😖 I LOVE this song! It continues their fresh, sweet, and fun concept that they have kept since debut. However, this is less cutesy and right up my alley. It's smooth but still bright, which is absolutely perfect. It has that certain funk to it that is irresistible and insanely catchy. The reoccurring beat is sooo catchy and is great. The electric guitar at 2:43 is EPIC!! I'd have to say though that the ending has to be my favorite part. That beautiful harmony hits the spot, and is perfection. But, Sanha singing the 2nd chorus was really great as well (I really love his voice 💛) One thing I love about this video is how it's filmed in first person so it feels as if you are truly experiencing what's happ...
