Produce X 101- First Elimination

Agh, elimination. Definitely my least favorite episodes, because it is so sad to see trainees go home. I do really enjoy the little events they have in between that lighten the mood of the episode a bit, but overall it's really hard to see some the trainees you really like go home.

Entrances

I love the entrances and how they consist of inside jokes between the contestants and are just the trainees having a fun time. My favorite entrance would be C9's where Lee Jae Bin and Keum Dong Hyun are pretending to play baseball. Other entrances that I enjoyed were Astory Entertainment's Jeon Hyun Woo and Heo Jin Ho, Plan A (or is it Plan M now, I am so confused) Entertainment's Choi Byung Chan and Han Seung Woo, Brand New Music's Kim Si Hun, Yoon Jeong Hwan, Lee Eun Sang, and Hong Seong Jun, and JH1's Jun Euhara.

Body Camp

This is one of my favorite sections that this show does. It's really lighthearted and fun. When it came to checking if the trainees have abs, I was really surprised Lee Won Jun had them because he has such a cute and small look. I really related to Nam Do Hyun, when he was like, "I am not good at sports". As messed up as this sounds, I really enjoyed the section where it showed him struggling and failing at all the athletic stuff, because that is literally me in that situation. For the box jump, I was so impressed with Cho Seung Youn. Like damn, he jumped 120 cm. That's unbelievable.

Arm Wrestling

This was my other favorite section mainly because of Byeon Seong Tae because he was hilarious.  I died laughing seeing him reveal his lack of abs. He continued being a comedic genius with his crazy stare, using informal language, and basically his entire showdown with Ji Chang Uk. There were also other hilarious parts with Wei Zi Yue saying it was unfair but not wanting a rematch, Song Yu Vin getting pissed off by Choi Byung Chan's kiss, and just the whole mess between the Girls Girls Girls and Lullaby (Jesus Yu Vin what team are you on and I guess this includes Byeon Seong Tae's whole bit because he was on the Girls Girls Girls team)

Visual Ranking

Honestly, I was a bit surprised by the rankings. Their ranking was

11. Yu Ri
10. Hwang Yun Seong
9. Baek Jin
8. Lee Eun Sang
7. Song Hyung Jun
6. Choi Byung Chan
5. Koo Jung Mo
4. Cha Jun Ho
3. Kim Yo Han
2. Kim Woo Seok
1. Kim Min Kyu

I expected Yu Ri, Song Hyung Jun, Choi Byung Chan, Cha Jun Ho, and Kim Woo Seok to appear on the list, but everyone else was a big surprise for me. I didn't really have anyone in mind for the top 11 most good looking, probably because there are just so many. I swear everyone is so talented and good looking, it's crazy

Comfort/Ghost Room
Ok, as soon as they showed this comfort room, I was like this is for sure going to be one of those scare rooms, which it was. I swear this happens on every one of these survival shows, I don't understand how these people fall for it every time. They really pulled all the stops with having 3 ghosts. I did find it hilarious though. I love how they were either bat shit terrified or literally gave no fucks. My favorite reactions were Wollim's Kim Min Seo (I had to include the company because there are 2 of them), Nam Do Hyun, Lee Hangyul, and Kang Seokhwa

Rankings

I hate watching this section. The mood is so tense and it's just so sad to see all the trainees that didn't make it. One part I do like, though, is that they give every trainee that does make it some screen time and allow them to give speeches. I think this season's elimination was a lot more bearable for me to watch mainly because of Lee Dong Wook. His relationship with the trainees throughout the episode was so funny and fun to watch. I loved how he just accepted all of the jokes and love from the trainees. The orange game was a great example of this and I died laughing at his contribution and his willingness to put up with their shit.

Now for the actual rankings. Like many others, I wasn't completely happy with the rankings. I really don't think there would have been a way for me to be completely satisfied. For the idols that went home, it was a huge shame that some high ranking trainees went home, since that is a waste of clear talent. I know there is a video on YouTube that shows all the trainees that went home, their ranks, and a pie charts displaying the ranks and teams the eliminated trainees were in. The link for that is here.

The top 11 were

1. Kim Yo Han (A-C)
2. Kim Min Kyu (X-D)
3. Song Hyung Jun (X-D)
4. Kim Woo Seok (B-A)
5. Lee Eun Sang (A-C)
6. Nam Do Hyun (A-D)
7. Son Dong Pyo (B-A)
8. Song Yu Vin (A-A)
9. Koo Jung Mo (X-F)
10. Ham Won Jin (D-A)
11. Cha Jun Ho (C)

Ok, I was honestly a little surprised by this list. I wasn't expecting this many lower ranked trainees (C and lower). Like this list consists of 1 F, 3 Ds, 3 Cs, and 4 As. Produce 101 Season 2 consisted of 2 Fs, 2 Ds, 2 Bs, and 5 As. Overall, 7/11 were high ranked trainees in Season 2, but only 4/11 are high ranked in this season. Also, 7/11 are also on the best visual list. This kind of leads to the point I have found a lot of international fans complaining about which is that the Korean fans, who actually can vote, are only voting based on appearance instead of talent. I see where international fans are coming from, but I don't think it's entirely true. All of the guys on the show are good looking and talented. I honestly think that both looks and talent are considered for these fans, because there are A ranked guys there and there also are guys on the best visual list, it really is a mix, but visuals definitely play a bit of stronger role because there were definitely more visuals than high ranking trainees.

Screen time is also something that contributes to peoples anger towards these rankings and I agree. I never Byeon Seong Tae existed before this episode, and if I had known he was this great, I would have put him in my personal top 11 list. The top 3 in the rankings were all trainees that showed great personalities on camera. Kim Yo Han displayed not only natural talent, but also a willingness to learn and an eagerness to become an idol. Kim Min Kyu also displayed this desire to learn when he was being very attentive during the Rank X classes. Song Hyung Jun was also able to redeem himself as a dancer by becoming the dance leader for Rank X as well as showing compassion through trying to teach his fellow rank members. I'm pretty sure most of the guys on the list received these positive edits by Mnet and were given ample screen time, which led to them being ranked so high.

That being said. My personal rankings are

1. Cho Seung Youn (No surprise)
2. Park Sun Ho
3. Lee Han Gyul
4. Song Yu Vin
5. Kim Kook Heon
6. Baek Jin
7. Kim Yo Han
8. Song Hyeong Jun
9. Kim Si Hun
10. Kim Dong Bin
11. Jeong Jae Han

Of course, there are other trainees that I really like. I honestly wish every single trainee could debut. However, like with JeUp in the Unit, if Cho Seung Youn does not get into the final group, I am going to be very pissed.

This basically is my thoughts on Episode 5. It wasn't my favorite episode, because elimination episodes never are, but there were some really gold moments that will go down in Produce history. So... Um... Yeah...

Sailor Moon- Jadeite

After a watching a video on Sailor Moon that was constantly on my recommended on YouTube, I was reminded with how much I loved this show. This, of course, led me to rewatch the entire show because wasting hours of my life for no reason is my favorite past time. I also found that I seriously lacked anime content so that led me to want to write about it. I was trying to figure out how writing this would work because there are a lot of episodes which means I'm not going to review Sailor Moon as a whole because I would forget the beginning by the time I got to the end. I also would not review every single episode because again there are a lot and since it's a superhero show there are a lot of "throw away" episodes. (This also lead me to want to create an "essential viewing" list, which would include only episodes that I think is important in regards to plot or character development.) The arcs themselves are quite large and are split into even smaller parts with ...

NCT Dream- Chewing Gum

Ok, so, another sub group of NCT, NCT Dream, came out Chewing Gum. This might be favorite single that NCT came out with. It's so bright, fun, and cute. Every time I see the video I break out into a smile. The story is pretty lighthearted, and it's very entertaining to watch. I absolutely love the bright colors that they use throughout the video. It really adds to the group's cute and bright theme. I found the video quite interesting to watch. They had a variety of different sets, including the ones made by the computer, and all of them were of bright colors. I also enjoyed the electronic made backgrounds for when the members had the closeups. Each person had a different animated background, so it was interesting to see what was behind them. I also kind of funny that they were using those hoverboard-thingies. (I have no idea what they're called, but I think it's a hoverboard?) The song is quite catchy, and I could probably listen to it over and over again for hou...

Astro- Baby

For those who might know, Astro is a somewhat new group under Fantagio that debuted in 2016. I have been fans of theirs since I watched To Be Continued, which is available on Netflix. 😉 (Check it out!) Sanha has to be my bias 💛, but Moon Bin is such a bias wrecker. 😖 I LOVE this song! It continues their fresh, sweet, and fun concept that they have kept since debut. However, this is less cutesy and right up my alley. It's smooth but still bright, which is absolutely perfect. It has that certain funk to it that is irresistible and insanely catchy. The reoccurring beat is sooo catchy and is great. The electric guitar at 2:43 is EPIC!! I'd have to say though that the ending has to be my favorite part. That beautiful harmony hits the spot, and is perfection. But, Sanha singing the 2nd chorus was really great as well (I really love his voice 💛) One thing I love about this video is how it's filmed in first person so it feels as if you are truly experiencing what's happ...
