So, Produce X 101 changed the first challenge by making the two teams perform different songs by the same group instead of the same song. There are positives and negatives to this. With the same song, it is easier for you to compare the songs, but it might bore the audience seeing the same song twice. Personally, I would have preferred it if they left it with the same song twice, because the songs chosen are the artist's debut song and their most popular song, so the most popular song would have a clear advantage. I viewed the performances once within the show and again on YouTube, just in case Mnet did some weird editing thing.

I was really impressed with Yun Seong. He did a great job as a leader and a center, and totally deserved first place. I was also really impressed with Hidaka Mahiro and Kang Seok Ha. I was surprised with Mahiro's rap parts, and I really liked his voice when rapping. Kang Seok Ha's singing was great and hitting those high notes was really impressive. Overall, I think this group did pretty good.
Love Shot
YASSS MY BOI SEUNGYOUN!!!! He was so sexy during the performance with his suit with no shirt, like damn. His high notes too, like I can't even verbalize. He is so talented, I fucking love him. Honestly, this might be my favorite performance for the entire Group X Battle. One thing I found fun about the preparation for this performance was that the group was called Keumvengers, to which I completely agree. All of the members really held their own on stage and Woo Seok really did a great job as center. He totally exuded that sexiness needed as a center and his eye contact with the camera was amazing
BTS
No More Dream
In preparations for this performance, I really felt like Kim Hyeon Bin fit the song, and he really does. I liked how pumped he was and he clearly was putting his all in the preparations, so it made me a bit sad when his teammates were annoyed with how intense he was. For the performance, he definitely stood out. His intense personality really fit the song, and that was shown clearly in the performance. I was also really excited that they were able to the tricks in the end of the song. It was good performance, but I felt like it some of the guys needed to be rougher in a sort of sense, because the song is very rough and intense.
Blood Sweat Tears
I really loved seeing how supportive this group was to each other, even with the center change. I do agree though that Moon Hyun Bin was the better choice for the center. He was really able to captivate the viewer and completed his part cleanly. Lee Won Jun completely surprised me. One, I really didn't expect him to have such a low voice with his look. Two, that heart was cute and unexpected. the performance as a whole was good. The dancing was clean and impactful.
Monsta X
Trespass
Ok, I don't really follow Monsta X. So, I don't really know Trespass or Dramarama, and this is the first time listening to either one. In preparations for Trespass, I found it really cute that everyone was helping Wei Zi Yue, and that camaraderie really warmed my heart. The actual performance, I realized watching it on YouTube was really short. It was almost a whole minute shorter than all the others and I'm curious as to why. I think Jeong Jae Hun really stood out in this performance and he fucking killed it. I think Wei Zi Yue didn't really fit the concept. He seemed a bit too nice for this. I was also pissed that Lee Eugene and Wei Zi Yue got the most amount of votes because they were objectively the weakest links.
Dramarama
Omg Kwan Woo. I was smiling ear to ear for him in this whole section. It was so cute that he was able to perform his favorite idol's song to his favorite idol, and the fact that he got complimented by him too was so cute. I'm just so happy for him. Kwan Woo and Yoon Geun Min really stood out. Kwan Woo really fits this song. Every time he appeared, he really caught my eye and just killed it. Geun Min killed it with his vocals. He was able to hit all those high notes and was just great. Honestly, Dramarama did so much better than Trespass, and it was really unfair that Trespass won just because Wei Zi Yue and Eugene are popular and not because of talent.

MY BOI PARK SUN HO!!!! I loved him being a leader and he was so good at it. However, he really does not fit this song. This song is supposed to be youthful and cute, and I really think he would fit a more mature and cool concept. Park Sun Ho really would have been better for Clap. Jin Hwa and Wang Jyun Hao really stood out in this performance. Jin Hwa did an amazing job as center, and that bow he's wearing really adds to the youthful cuteness. Wang Jyun Hao, I think, is a really good fit for this song. He has that young playfulness feeling about him that really fits the song. You can really see that displayed in his performance and you can also tell he really improved.
Clap
Ham Won Jin was amazing as the center. In the first second you see, he really captures attention with just his facial expression. It was really fun seeing him practicing the first line making it stronger, and it definitely has improved but I think could still be a bit more rough(?). I also think he did a great job helping everybody in his group which was super nice to see. Also Lee Hyeop's high note was soooo impressive, like damnn.
Wanna One
Energetic
Won Hyuk did amazing as center. His performance was definitely full of energy and he was able to showcase singing, dancing, and rapping all in one. Another person that really stood out in this performance was Lee Jun Hyuk because damn his voice is low and I fucking love it. Like as soon as that drop happened he said "Alright Oh Oh Work Your Body", I was like DAMN SON. That voice was amazing. I was also impressed with Jung Myung Hoon and his high notes. Like his voice definitely seemed to reach those really high notes with no problem which amazing.
Light
I know during the preparations for the performance, Uehara Jun was really worried and stressed because he was the only one his group that could even hit those high notes, which really sucks because the other team had around 3 people that probably could. He really pulled through though, and hit them every single time, so I'm really happy for him. Other than that, Choi Si Hyuk really stood out to me in this performance. When the camera was on him he provided great expressions. His singing and dancing were also on point. That dance break was really good too.
GOT7
Girls Girls Girls
So, this song. I hate it. It's the reason why I never really got into GOT7, so I'm sort of biased towards Lullaby. That being said I really think that the trainees did a really good job. Kim Hyeon Su and Kook Heon really stood out in this performance. Kim Hyeon Su was really able to display his singing ability, surprising with this song, but he really did it with those ad libs in the end. And that flip he did, damn. Kook Heon was able to really shine dancing wise with his dance break.
Lullaby
It really sucked that Yu Vin's mic didn't work in the first performance. Seeing Kook Heon cry over that was heartbreaking and the Girls Girls Girls team were really nice giving Lullaby another shot. I was really impressed with Yu Vin, because his vocals are just so stable dancing, it's amazing. Baek Jin break dancing was really cool, and I think he would have been a perfect match with Girls Girls Girls because that song is really just about doing a lot tricks like that. OMG and when Yu Vin said "It's Baek Jin time", I laughed. Honestly, rewatching their performance, I was really impressed, like the vocals and dancing were on point.

Deja Vu
Wow, Kim Min Seo. He killed it at being the center. the entire time I felt like my eyes were glued on him, and he really sold the song. He was able to really portray that elegant sexiness from the song and his movements were so fluid and expressive. His voice hypnotic too. Like, I'm in shock. The team as whole I think really well too the beginning sequence was amazing. All of them really portrayed that sexiness and their movements were very smooth. (I just realized that there are 2 Kim Min Seo's, like wtf and it's really confusing when one is in this team and the other is in Where You At. So, the Kim Min Seo I'm talking about here is the one from Urban Works)
Where You At
Lee Taesung was so worried about those high notes during the preparations, but he did great. Understandably, it's really hard to hit notes that high, but he did it, so good for him, I'm really proud. Sung Min Seo also really stood out for me. When he first appeared, his movements were so graceful, I was took back. I was hypnotized by him. Every time, I look at him, he really pays attention to the details and expresses them beautifully. Like when he grazed the floor, I made mouth open in amazement at gorgeous his hand was.

7th Sense
It was kind of funny seeing Lee Jin Woo practice "Uh" to make it sound more tough, and it paid off. The "Uh"s didn't sound off and was very natural with the song. It was very weird, though, to see Song Hyeong Jun, Lee Jin Woo, and Kim Min Kyu do a more sexy and mature song like this. They honestly did pretty well, it's just their looks don't really match it. That being said, Dong Bin and Mi Dam definitely deserved to be ranked higher, especially Mi Dam. They both exuded sexiness and were perfect matches for the song. Dong Bin's rap was fantastic and Mi Dam's dancing and singing were amazing and totally matched the mood of the song.
Boss
WOW. This performance was really good. Han Seungwoo, Lee Jinhyuk, and Kim Yohan really stood out. Han Seung Woo really carried the vocals with his high notes, and leadership was really good too. Lee Jin Hyuk really exuded sexy confidence and had a very strong presence every time he was center. Also, every time I see him dancing, he is giving it his all with sharp but expressive moves. Kim Yo Han's rap was fucking amazing and I really hope that he continues rapping because it was so epic. Yo Han is just so naturally talented, it blows my mind. Unrelated to the actual performance, but those outfits are amazing, and look so good on everybody.
Overall, I have mixed opinions. There were, of course, amazing performances. Some of the rankings I felt were a little unfair, but you know that's just the way it works. Boss and Love Shot were, in my opinion, the best performances, with my favorite being Love Shot. So... Um... Yeah...
