Produce X 101 Auditions

Ok, so, I was going to do a whole post on episodes 1-5, but like auditions alone took up so much time and space. So, I decided to divide it into auditions, Group X Battle, and Episode 5. I'm not really gonna go into the preparation for X1-MA and the rankings and stuff, because like that really wasn't the most interesting and we all know Son Dong Pyo got center and the people that got X didn't leave the show. Two notable things from that section though are:

1. Min Kyu is really admirable for really trying his best and actively engaging in the lessons after being ranked X
2. Song Hyeong Jun is also really admirable for being the leader for the X ranks and teaching everyone the dance. He also is a really good dancer and if he wasn't so nervous and kind of having stage fright, he could've easily been ranked higher

Now, the auditions. The show itself did not show all of the auditions, but they posted them all of them on YouTube, so you bet I decided to watch all of them.

-

ASTORY (Heo Jin Ho and Jeon Hyun Woo)
Why was there no singing for a whole section? Overall, pretty good dancing though

SF Entertainment (Sung Min Seo)
Dancing lacked a bit of energy and sharpness. Understandably there were parts where he couldn't sing or rap the entire song since he was person doing a 7 person song. However, not the best singer, I'm not really sure if he did really sing

Oui Entertainment (Kim Yo Han)
YASSS Yohan with those heelys. Like the panel said, you could tell he was inexperienced, but his song choice made him seem more experienced than he really was

Brand New Music (Hong Seong Jun, Lee Eun Sang, Yun Jung Hwan, and Kim Si Hun)
Really good dancing, singing, rapping. Overall really good. The song itself I really liked actually and I would listen to it in my free time, so good job making that song.

TOP Media (Lee Jin Hyuk and Kim Woo Seok)
Really sharp dance moves, which is one of the things Teen Top stresses in their dancing, so really good job

Enpant Terrible Company (Choi Byung Hoon)
Overall pretty good dancing and a pretty good performance.

iMe Korea (Lee Se Jin)
A really refreshing performance with all these more serious songs. He had a hard time with the higher notes and was out of tune at the end. His singing also become a bit unstable as soon as he started moving a little.

Gost (Lee Sang Ho and Yun Hyun Jo)
Ummm... they seemed to lack energy in their performance. There were also times where their dancing should have been in sync, but wasn't. Ummm... yeah

YG Entertainment (Mahiro and Wang Jyun Hao)
Their dancing was pretty good and their performance definitely had energy. Just vocally, sometimes they were a bit out of tune and lacked stability when dancing.

Fantagio Entertainment (Han Gi Chan)
He was out of tune a lot. Dancing was good though.

AAP.Y (Jung Myung Hoon, Lee Mi Dam, and Kang Hyeon Su)
Really good dancing and singing. The song was also really good, so great job making that. Overall really good

Vine Entertainment (Baek Jin)
YASS BAEK JIN!! Dancing on point of course. Singing could use some work for sure, which is probably because he is out of breath from dancing

Jellyfish Entertainment (Choi Jun Seong and Kim Min Kyu)
Good song choice since it definitely fits their images and is one of the easier VIXX songs for dancing and singing. Definitely stable singing for the most part. Min Kyu was definitely out of tune for one of those more important notes though

Woollim Entertainment (Hwang Yun Seong, Cha Jun Ho, Joo Chang Uk, Moon Jun Ho, Kim Min Seo, and Kim Dong Yun)
The rap part I couldn't really hear but that might be a mic issue. There were a couple of mistakes in the dancing and some spacing issues. Overall not bad though, I don't really get why they got ripped to shreds.

MLD (Kim Dong Bin)
YASSS DONG BIN KILLING IT!! I was so happy to see him back vastly improved. Dancing was good and singing was stable. Great Job

Starship Entertainment (Ham Won Jin, Song Hyeong Jun, Moon Hyun Bin, Koo Jung Mo, and Kang Min Hee)
Good song choice, because it really fits their images. Oh no the mic pack falling in the beginning. The rap section also was a big screw up. Ham Won Jin did really well singing though, like he was really stable. Hyeong Jun also did really well dancing too.

Stone Music Entertainment (Kim Sung Hyun)
Dancing and rap was real good. Like I was feeling it. Singing, obviously, not his forte, but really isn't important because he would be in a rap position and would fucking kill it.

Around Us Entertainment (Choi Si Hyuk, Jeong Jae Hun, and Woo Jewon)
The rapping was alright. I much preferred the second more energetic song for them. Dancing was good and full of energy. Their singing was pretty stable was good and stable.

Urban Works (Hong Sung Hyen, Byeon Seong Tae, Kim Min Seo, and Kim Dong Kyu)
Dancing was pretty good, but there were couple of times where they should have been in sync but weren't. The singing was alright. It started pretty strong, but started to kind of fall apart near the end, with some notes that were out of tune. Hong Sung Hyun really stood out though with a strong voice, sharp dancing, and that nice dance solo. That last note though was umm.. not the best.

Plan A (Han Seung Woo and Choi Byung Chan)
There were a few times where their dancing didn't really match, but I'm pretty sure they were supposed to. Other than that the dancing was really good. Their singing was good from what I saw. There wasn't really a lot of singing with dancing, so I couldn't really tell, but good song choice, since it separated singing and dancing, making it easier to really show the best of each.

Individual Trainees (Lee Ha Min, Im Siu, Jung Young Bin, and Choi Su Hwan)
Choi Su Hwan really shined with his sharp dancing, which is really appearant when all of four of them were dancing at once. Im Siu wasn't really the best singer, and he did a lot better with the rapping part. Lee Ha Min, of course, killed it with the singing. Jung Young Bin did a good job both singing and dancing. Overall, they did really good.

ESteem (Yuri, Anzardi Timothee, Kim Jin Gon, and Kim Seung Hwan)
The rap wasn't bad. Yuri fucking killed, good for him. Timothee seemed to have a hard part with the low notes in the beginning section, so maybe they should have done a different song. The dancing was a bit out of sync here and there but was alright.

ACONIC (Kwon Tae Eun)
The song choice wasn't the best. In the beginning, his singing really wasn't good, but he did good at the chorus. Ummmm, I'm sorry, but it just wasn't good. I fucking love him anyway though.

Think About Entertainment (Kim Jun Jae)
His dancing wasn't bad, but it could be a little sharper here and there. His singing wasn't very stable dancing, but he does have a really nice voice.

Maroo Entertainment (Lee Tae Sung, Lee Jin Woo, and Lee Woo Jin)
Good song choice for their image. Lee Woo Jin... I'm sorry, but he just didn't do a good job with his singing part. Overall, their singing needed work. Like there were a few notes out of tune and a voice crack and ummm... I'm sorry it was a mess vocally. The dancing was alright. There were a couple times when they were just not in sync.

NEST (Oh Sae Bom and Park Yun Sol)
Overall, pretty fucking good. The dancing was good, the singing was good. It was good, I'm impressed.

sidusHQ (Park Sun Ho)
YASS MY BOI PARK SUN HO!!! Fucking killed it, I fucking love that guy. Dancing was nice and sharp. Singing was pretty good. Overall, it was a good performance

MBK (Lee Han Gyul, Nam Do Hyon, and Kim Yeong Sang)
YASSS MY BOI HAN GYUL!! I fucking loved that they did Roly Poly for their first song. It was fucking great. Kim Yeong Sang was so extra doing that dance and I loved it. There was a whole section where Lee Han Gyul either didn't sing or his mic was working, idk, but it was weird. Dancing, on point. Singing not bad, but needs to be more stable while dancing.

Music Works (Song Yu Vin and Kim Kook Heon)
ABSOLUTELY FUCKING FANTASTIC!!! Like the dancing was so good. The singing was probably the best and most stable. Like amazing, I can't even verbalize this.

Hongyi Entertainment (Tony and Wei Zi Yue)
The singing wasn't bad, just some of those high notes they just couldn't hit. The dancing was alright too, because sometimes they weren't completely in sync. Tony fucking shined though, stable voice and sharp dancing.

Yuehua Entertainment (Hwan Geum Ryul, Cho Seung Youn, and Yu Seong Jun)
Ok, so like I'm kind of salty they didn't show all of this performance on the show because I FUCKING LOVE THESE GUYS. I don't why but their PR videos really stood out for me and I fucking love them. Like Seung Youn is my fucking BOI! I love that guy. Dancing is fucking on point like those Seung Youn's fucking flip, what?! And those sharp dance moves. Yu Seong Jun kind of messed up on his lines though which sucks. Hwan Geum Ryul did alright with his rapping and singing. The song itself, hella catchy, props to them for writing this. Seung Youn also killed it with his singing. Overall, I fucking love Seung Youn.

Individual Trainees (Kang Seok Hwa, Kim Sung Yeon, Park Jin Yeol, and Lee Hyeop)
I was honestly really impressed and I really don't know why they didn't show this on tv, because damn. The singing was really good. Kang Seok Hwa, Kim Sung Yeon, and Lee Hyeop all had really amazing voices and were really stable singing and dancing. Park Jin Yeol's rap was pretty good. The dancing was honestly really nice, sharp, and energetic. Overall, it was really good and I'm impressed.

JH1 Entertainment (Uehara Jun)
Dancing and singing could use some work, but the rapping was pretty good. There were a few times he was out of breath but it was good. I also liked how he just grooved with the song.

Kiwi Media Group (Lim Da Hun, Song Chang Ha, and Kim Hyeong Min)
The dancing was good. The singing was definitely out of tune a lot, which sucks. There was this one part though where they were all harmonizing really well, which sounded nice. The rap was ok.

WUZO Entertainment (Choi Jin Hwa)
OMG!!! SO GOOD!!! The singing was really stable throughout the performance. The dancing was definitely the best for the auditions. This was amazing and it really sucks they didn't air this.

WM (Lee Guy Hyung)
He only sang like half the song, which I understand because he is singing a 7 person song, but like choose a different song then? So, the singing was ok. The dancing was alright too. I just really think he should've chosen a song that better showcases his dancing and singing.

Chandelier Music (Peak)
The rap and singing weren't bad, he just needs to work on stabilizing it with dancing. The dancing was good. However, there were some parts where he kind of went over board, like during the chorus where it should have been slower and sexier, which emphasize good dancing.

DSP Media (Lee Hwan, Lee Jun Hyuk, and Son Dong Pyo)
So Dong Pyo really shined in this stage with his sharp dance moves and stable vocals. Overall, the entire group did pretty good though, with their singing, dancing, and rapping. Yeah, pretty good performance

Happyface Entertainment (Won Hyun Sik)
Not bad. The dance was pretty simple, but was executed well. He was pretty stable singing. The song was really good choice. It fit his personality and really showcased his dancing and singing.

The South (Nam Dong Hyun)
Honestly, I'm pretty impressed. Very good song choice. It seemed to fit him very well and showcased his dancing, singing, and rapping. All three were really done really well. His voice was really stable throughout the performance. Even though the dance moves weren't that difficult, they were executed well

Source Music (Tsai Chia Hao, Yoon Min Gook, and Kim Hyeon Bin)
Ok, so there were some parts where they were not in tune, which wasn't that great. However, for the most part the singing was pretty good. The dancing was actually really good, too. Kim Hyeon Bin FUCKING KILLED IT THOUGH!! Like, damn.

C9 (Lee Jae Bin and Keum Dong Hyun)
The song choice was really good. It seemed to really fit their image. Lee Jae Bin did pretty good singing. He had a couple notes out of tune, but was really stable singing and really nice voice. Keum Dong Hyun also pretty good and I laughed at him talking in the beginning. I also laughed a bit at the end with the differing endings. Overall, I enjoyed the performance and found it really fun.

DS (Steven Kim)
Ummm.. Everything was ok. I think I did song choice would've been better for him. I was impressed though with his stamina, though, because he seemed pretty stable.

KRAZY Entertainment (Kim Kwan Woo)
His rapping was pretty good. It seemed like he forgot some of his lyrics, which really sucks, but what he did was good. His dancing was alright. The performance was, overall, not bad

Cre.ker (Gwon Hui Jun)
Oof. Ummm... his singing wasn't good. I'm sorry. Ummmm... for what he sang it was more like spoken word poetry than singing. He also didn't even sing most of the song. His dancing was alright, he just seemed a little stiff.

Individual Trainee (Lee Eugene)
I don't know why, actually I do know why, but half the time I couldn't tell if he was singing or not. That is because he wasn't really opening his mouth, which would really help his singing too. His dancing was alright. I think he should have chosen an easier song like some of the other guys did to better showcase his abilities.

Million Market (Yoo Geun Min)
Ok, I am impressed His dancing is really good, like REALLY GOOD. His singing is pretty good too, it was really stable when he did sing. I really don't know why this didn't air because it was really good.

E Entertainment (Lee Won Jun and Won Hyuk)
This is a really good performance. Won Hyuk KILLED IT!! He was able to show how talented he is at rapping, singing, and dancing, like damn. Yeah, this is a good performance. It was fun and high energy.

PLASMA (Park Sion)
His dancing was really good. His singing and rapping could use some work, probably because he was out of breath. I think he should have probably went with a different song.

Ok, so these were my opinions on all the auditions except for JYP's Yun Seo Bin, which I couldn't find anywhere because he got kicked off the show, and I don't think they aired it. Some of the auditions that really stood out to me were:

TOP Media (Lee Jin Hyuk and Kim Woo Seok)
Brand New Music (Hong Seong Jun, Lee Eun Sang, Yun Jung Hwan, and Kim Si Hun)
AAP.Y (Jung Myung Hoon, Lee Mi Dam, and Kang Hyeon Su)
MLD (Kim Dong Bin)
Music Works (Song Yu Vin and Kim Kook Heon)
WUZO Entertainment (Choi Jin Hwa)
Yuehua Entertainment (Hwan Geum Ryul, Cho Seung Youn, and Yu Seong Jun)
Million Market (Yoo Geun Min)
E Entertainment (Lee Won Jun and Won Hyuk)

So, yeah. Going through all of those videos, definitely took a lot more time than I thought it would, for some reason. I was hoping to put out the entire Episode 1-5 post before Episode 6 airs, but that's definitely not going to happen. I think I'm going to post X1-MA review after this, because I was supposed to post that a couple weeks ago (Sorry TT). I might add some thoughts on the preparation for it then, since those parts aired. Then I'll put up Group X Battle and Episode 5 review. I'm going to wait until the next challenge is completely over before posting any new stuff, so there definitely won't be an Episode 6 review. Also, I'm going to add my Top 11 picks in the Episode 5 review, because that is where it would make the most sense. I'm sure you can probably tell who's going to be on it already. So... Um... Yeah...

Sailor Moon- Jadeite

After a watching a video on Sailor Moon that was constantly on my recommended on YouTube, I was reminded with how much I loved this show. This, of course, led me to rewatch the entire show because wasting hours of my life for no reason is my favorite past time. I also found that I seriously lacked anime content so that led me to want to write about it. I was trying to figure out how writing this would work because there are a lot of episodes which means I'm not going to review Sailor Moon as a whole because I would forget the beginning by the time I got to the end. I also would not review every single episode because again there are a lot and since it's a superhero show there are a lot of "throw away" episodes. (This also lead me to want to create an "essential viewing" list, which would include only episodes that I think is important in regards to plot or character development.) The arcs themselves are quite large and are split into even smaller parts with ...

NCT Dream- Chewing Gum

Ok, so, another sub group of NCT, NCT Dream, came out Chewing Gum. This might be favorite single that NCT came out with. It's so bright, fun, and cute. Every time I see the video I break out into a smile. The story is pretty lighthearted, and it's very entertaining to watch. I absolutely love the bright colors that they use throughout the video. It really adds to the group's cute and bright theme. I found the video quite interesting to watch. They had a variety of different sets, including the ones made by the computer, and all of them were of bright colors. I also enjoyed the electronic made backgrounds for when the members had the closeups. Each person had a different animated background, so it was interesting to see what was behind them. I also kind of funny that they were using those hoverboard-thingies. (I have no idea what they're called, but I think it's a hoverboard?) The song is quite catchy, and I could probably listen to it over and over again for hou...

Astro- Baby

For those who might know, Astro is a somewhat new group under Fantagio that debuted in 2016. I have been fans of theirs since I watched To Be Continued, which is available on Netflix. 😉 (Check it out!) Sanha has to be my bias 💛, but Moon Bin is such a bias wrecker. 😖 I LOVE this song! It continues their fresh, sweet, and fun concept that they have kept since debut. However, this is less cutesy and right up my alley. It's smooth but still bright, which is absolutely perfect. It has that certain funk to it that is irresistible and insanely catchy. The reoccurring beat is sooo catchy and is great. The electric guitar at 2:43 is EPIC!! I'd have to say though that the ending has to be my favorite part. That beautiful harmony hits the spot, and is perfection. But, Sanha singing the 2nd chorus was really great as well (I really love his voice 💛) One thing I love about this video is how it's filmed in first person so it feels as if you are truly experiencing what's happ...
