SPOILER ALERT

Ok, I know that this drama came out a while ago, but I forgot to put it on my favorites list the other day. TT.TT If I have to choose a favorite kdrama, this one would definitely be it. I love how this drama takes serious issues a bit on the lighter side. Like in episodes 5 and 6 with Shi Won's father being in the hospital. They were very moving episodes and just about as serious as this drama gets.

It starts in episode 5, Shi Won's father has to go to the hospital due to cancer. The episode then turns more serious and starts going the ongoing issue of cancer and how it affects our lives, in the end creating a very meaningful episode. The episode ends in a more playful and joyful manner, when it is discovered that Shi Won's surgery went well and that he is alright.

In episode 6, it goes over how even the smallest things can have such a large impact on people. In the hospital room Shi Won's father is staying at, a bunch of ajummas are watching a drama. They all seem to be really into it and watch every time it comes on TV. However, the main character is discovered to have cancer, which makes all the ajummas super depressed. So, Shi Won's mom calls the author a ton of times ranting about the show and how the main character has cancer. Later on, Shi Won's mother talks about how the ajummas receive hope and joy that they need from this show and that the cancer scene made them all really upset, especially since they are in a hospital and they need to escape from the cruel reality, which makes this episode really meaningful. However to counter the seriousness of this section of the show, this episode shows the kids school lives.

This is about as depressing as the show gets, and even though these episodes go over such serious topics, they still give us joy and happiness with the jokes and fun scenes that are included. That's basically why I like this drama so much it is able to be light, comedic, and happy, but still bring up serious issues and topics that are very meaningful. And can I just say how cute everyone is in this drama.

Seeing all the interactions between all the characters, really hit me hard. The lovable characters make you hope that they all find their happy endings. Seeing Shi Won fall in love with adorkable Yoonjae really makes my day. Also seeing the bromance, between Yoonjae, Joonhee, Sungjae, and Hakchan makes me really happy and gives me all these warm fluffies. And JOONHEE, how cute! His crush on Yoonjae is sooo adorable and I love how the drama kind of tricks you in the beginning to think that he likes Shi Won. I love that they added a gay character in the drama to really add another topic that should be discussed, equalities of LGBTQ+. Shi Won's relationship with her parents reminds me of my own, which brings another endearing aspect of the show.

I also love how the drama relates to kpop in 90's. It shows viewers how kpop was back in 90's and kind of makes you think of how it relates and differs from kpop now. No matter what time period though, kpop fans can still relate to Shi Won in her obsession with H.O.T. Posters all over her walls, emotional connections to simple things like a shirt or a raincoat, sending gifts to idols, joining fan clubs, attending concerts and fan meets, etc. Her love for H.O.T. relates to kpop fans around the world, which is definitely another aspect of the show that you can't help but to love.

Anyway, I really just love this drama and I kind of feel really horrible for forgetting to add it in my list of favorite dramas. So yeah...

Produce X 101- Final Ranking

So, I was actually able to watch the entire finale. I'm still going to hold off on writing anything about the actual show portion of this episode until english subtitles are released. That being said the group name is X1. It's sweet and simple and basically sums up the premise of this season. Now onto the rankings. My current top 11 are: 1. Cho Seung Youn 2. Lee Han Gyul 3. Han Seung Woo 4. Keum Dong Hyun 5. Hwang Yun Seong 6. Kim Yo Han 7. Song Yu Vin 8. Song Hyung Jun 9. Son Dong Pyo 10. Nam Do Hyun 11. Lee Jin Hyuk I know I already changed my list from literally yesterday. I honestly happy with whatever the final ranking is as long as Cho Seung Youn and Han Seung Woo get in. If Lee Han Gyul get in, that's an extra bonus. I truly wish that all of the guys could debut in X1, which obviously is not going to happen. Anyway, onto the official rankings. 1. Kim Yo Han When they told us 1st place was down to Kim Woo Seok or Kim Yo Han, I was not surprised. I th...

Produce X 101- Position Evaluation

I love position evaluation. I think it gives the rappers a chance to really shine when they usually have to showcase singing or dancing. It also gives us epic performances such as Shape of You and "Michoji" from Season 2. Either way it allows people to really showcase their talents. The introduction of the X position definitely added interest. I think it is definitely very important for the trainees to be able to both sing and dance at the same time or rap and dance at the same time, since that is what they are going to be doing as an idol. Vocal Position Twit by Hwasa I love how this song was not like the typical ballad type songs to showcase their singing. Their harmonies were amazing and I loved it. Lee Hyeop did really well and I think it was great that he was finally able to showcase his singing ability. Jeonghwa also really stood out with his strong voice and cool stage presence. The performance overall was very captivating and I was really impressed and liked...

Produce X 101- First Elimination

Agh, elimination. Definitely my least favorite episodes, because it is so sad to see trainees go home. I do really enjoy the little events they have in between that lighten the mood of the episode a bit, but overall it's really hard to see some the trainees you really like go home. Entrances I love the entrances and how they consist of inside jokes between the contestants and are just the trainees having a fun time. My favorite entrance would be C9's where Lee Jae Bin and Keum Dong Hyun are pretending to play baseball. Other entrances that I enjoyed were Astory Entertainment's Jeon Hyun Woo and Heo Jin Ho, Plan A (or is it Plan M now, I am so confused) Entertainment's Choi Byung Chan and Han Seung Woo, Brand New Music's Kim Si Hun, Yoon Jeong Hwan, Lee Eun Sang, and Hong Seong Jun, and JH1's Jun Euhara. Body Camp This is one of my favorite sections that this show does. It's really lighthearted and fun. When it came to checking if the trainees have a...
